Steam Fish Head @ Yee Sang Fatt Seafood Restorant

Friends gathering today. A friend from Singapore said want to eat Chinese food for dinner as he already eat Malay food for whole week. Ha... So, we decide to bring him to eat steam fish head.

The restaurant is called Yee Sang Fatt Seafood Restorant, located at Jalan Gasing, nearby Jalan Pasar (电子街). This restaurant is famous for its Home-style steam fish head and steam La-la. So when the boss want to take our order, we just headed for these two dishes plus a daily special - braised pork 东坡肉 and a plate of vegetable.

First dish come to serve is the steam La-la. Very fresh and its taste very nice. The sauce has bring up the La-la sweetness. Like it actually.
Steam La-la - RM15 (consider cheap, I think)

Next is the pork and the vegetable. The pork surprisingly good. Normally this dishes will give people an expression is it too fat, oily and too salty. But, this dish here is cook perfectly well. If it is serve with man-tou then is much more 100% perfect. Hah.....

(from top) Vegetable - RM12 (middle size), steam La-la; (bottom) Braised pork - RM18

Lastly, the main cast has come. The Home-style steam fish head. This dish take quit a long time to serve. We have finish our rice then only the fish head is serve. However, it is still worth for us to wait. The timing of steaming is just right and the fish is fresh too (at least don't have the 泥味).
Home-style steam fish head - RM25

The total of the meal plus rice plus tea is RM80, divided by four of us, so is RM20 per person.

An opened- air restaurant, no air-conditioner, the only things that we enjoy is the meals and also the time that we all put together. Meals is priced but time is priceless. So, I do feel that it is worth.

Full House @ Wangsa Walk Mall

Talking about FullHouse, I have been getting a negative feedback from friends about the food. As they said, eating in FullHouse is just enjoying the environment but not the food. So please do not expect too much on the food as they told me. That make me draw back many times to go to FullHouse.

However, today, my hubby suggested that why not give it a try to eat in FullHouse. So we headed to FullHouse in Wangsa Walk Mall. The environment is well decorated and cozy too.

This is the interior design and decoration of the restaurant.

The waitress handed us two copy of magazine which is actually is their menu. Quite a good idea.

Some of the pages of the magazine (menu) ;p

It is during the lunch time, so both of us decided to order 2 set lunch sets. One is chicken chop and another one is pan fried dory fish and we add on a chicken wing as appetizer. The lunch set is inclusive of ice lemon tea, soup of the day (which we had today is corn soup), main dish and dessert - a slice of cake.

The soup is nice. Creamy and tasty.

Here come the appetizer - deep fried chicken wing. The taste is quit good. The chicken is marinated quit well. But I do think that it has been over-fried, a bit burnt.

Our main dishes. Top is Wok-Sear Chicken Chop with Daily Vegetable. Bottom is Pan Sear Dory Fish with Asia Green. The chicken chop is nice, taste good. Same to dory fish. But the fish is over-cook.

Lastly, desserts is served - Petitfour with favour of coffee and chocolate Among all the dishes, this is the one I dislike most. Regardless the portion, quit small (but u can't expect too much when it is come with set). However, the reason I don't like is the sweetness. The cake is quit sweet for me.

A set lunch with 4 course meal (price from RM13.80 onwards), I do say after finish all 4 courses meal, the stomach is quit full. Together enjoying the cozy environment of the restaurant, the price that we paid is reasonable. But I do agreed with what my friend said - "don't expect too much on the food". Haha...

Suki-ya @ Paradigm Mall

This is my second time visit to Suki-ya. This time is go to new outlet located in new shopping mall, Paradigm Mall at Kelana Jaya. I had a spendid moment in Suki-ya during my first visit at Toyko Street, Pavillion.

Suki-ya offered Japanese steamboat / shabu-shabu buffet lunch @ RM29.80++ and buffet dinner @ RM39.80++ as well as other ala-carte dishes. As I reach there during lunch hour so I go again for the buffet lunch. Suki-ya restricted that the customer only have 2hours time to enjoy their meal. But I think that this should be more than enough.

When customer are seated they will ask to choose 2 kinds of their preferred soup base. They have 4 choices of soup bases:- Shabu-shabu / Sukiyaki / Miso / Kimchi (spicy). Then customer is ask to choose which meat they wish to consume first. They can choose from chicken, beef and lamb. The meat can refill so is doesn't matter that which 1 you wish to take first. As for the drink, green tea is included in the price of buffet and is refillable so is wise to get green tea either hot or cold.

(Clockwise from top) Lamb, Chicken & Beef

Other than the meat that need to order from the waiter / waitress, Suki-ya have a 'Healthy Bar' which provided variety of food that is self-service. Many kind of mushroom, vegetables, meatballs, seafood taufu, mee and many more. The food is fresh and tasty. Just suit yourself to fulfill your stomach desire.

Beside that, come to dessert, there is three favour of ice cream; roasted rice, chocolate and green tea. And of course you can add some topping for yourself, such as chocolate chip, cornflakes and chopped peanut. You can have it in cup or by con.

It is quit delightful to have the Shabu-Shabu in a cozy environment. However, due to I have been visit twice in two different outlet, personally I preferred to Pavilion outlet. But there is no harm to try. And as for me, there will have third visit time. ^^
